HUSBAND KILLS WIFE, ARRESTED
Jalandhar March 17:
Allegedly under the influence of liquor, a man murdered his wife in the Gandhi camp area of Jalandhar.
The murder was noticed in the wee hours of Sunday when Deepak (17) noticed the dead body of her mother Meera Devi (40) lying on the floor in pool of blood, Police sources said adding that Zimidara, husband of Meera was absconding after the incident.
Exact motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, police said adding that dead body was sent for post-mortem to the local civil hospital, police added. Meanwhile, a case under section 302 of Indian penal Code was registered against Zimidara, who was arrested later on, sources added.
