DELHI POLICE ARREST 2 BABBAR KHALSA MILITANTS IN JALUNDHAR

New Delhi March 20:
In a major breakthrough, a special team of the Delhi Police on Thursday arrested two suspected members of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) in Jalundhar.
According to reports, acting on a tip off from the intelligence agencies, Delhi Police laid a trap to trace and nab the two militants. The arrested Babbar Khalsa militants had plans to eliminate some religious gurus and to create unrest and communal tension in the now peaceful state of Punjab.
The Police team has also recovered two foreign made pistols and live cartridges from the two militants, who are being interrogated for further leads. Babbar Khalsa International is among the oldest and most organised Khalistan terrorist groups.
Available evidence suggests that the Babbar Khalsa is part of a terrorist network sponsored by Germany-based terrorist groups as well as Pakistan’s external intelligence agency—the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI)—to revive terrorism in the Indian Punjab.
