Congress MLA Jeet Mohinderjeet Singh Sidhu said that finally former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal had vindicated the Congress charges against the Akalis for being ruthlessly vindictive.
Sidhu said in a statement that the recent statements of Manpreet that the Akalis are more vindictive than the Congress vindicates the charges of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Captain Amarinder Singh that they have indulged in vendetta and victimisation of the political opponents all these years.
Captain Amarinder Singh has been saying from the day one that the Akali-BJP government took over in the State in 2007 that they were ruthlessly vindictive. "Now it is an Akali and more particularly a Badal, who has remained a minister for three and a half years, saying that the Akalis are very vindictive," said Sidhu in a statement.
"Though already established as how vindictive the Akalis have been by way of registering over 20,000 false cases against the Congress workers and intimidating and harassing them in the police stations, the fact that a person, who has been part of the SAD-BJP government and the ruling family, reiterating identical views further proves the point," added Sidhu.
