For me, an external hard drive needs to be reliable and not too big or heavy to slide into a bag or pocket and forget about. For others, looks are everything, and Asus is catering to that crowd with a new Lamborghini-branded unit.
The Lamborghini External HDD is a 2.5″ drive with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connection options depending on the drive model you buy. Each offers either 500GB or 750GB of storage space. It’s the exterior that catches the eye, though, with a glossy black or white finish and raised areas we believe are meant to make it look like the back of a Lamborghini.
The drive is compatible with Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/Me and ships with a USB cable and protection bag. There’s also a one-click auto backup function that uses the FlexSave file management system.
As for pricing, Asus has only given out the USB 2.0 models list prices which are $119 for the 500GB drive, and $139 for the 750GB drive.
