'Operation Bluestar: The Untold Story,' has spoken to some of witnesses to the event to recreate what happened during those six days at the Golden Temple. Ramoowalia claimed in the documentary that "the youths came to where Longowal and Tohra were sitting. They were carrying a box. They were also carrying SLRs and they placed them on stands with their barrels pointing towards all of us. They told us that the 'box' is connected with Gen Zia-Ul-Haq in Pakistan. They told Jathedar Tohra and Sant Longowal to declare the formation of Khalistan, so that the Pakistani Army can launch an attack."

Jathedar Tohra told the youths that this battle is between Bhinderanwale and Indira Gandhi. He told them that neither he nor Longowal was leading the Khalistan campaign. "This battle is being led by Sant Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale. Be fair to us and please ask Sant Bhinderanwale to issue a statement on the creation of Khalistan first," Ramoowalia, who was present in the Guru Ram Das Sarai along with Tohra and Longowal, said on camera.

"Tohra did not say he will make the announcement for Khalistan. The youth then left the place. God knows why they left. And they never came back," said Ramoowalia.

In the documentary, Harcharan Singh Rode, the elder brother of Bhinderanwale, who was among around 100 people the channel talked to, has denied having identified Bhinderanwale as was claimed by the media at that time.

The documentary also says pilgrims were held hostage by militants and then killed.
