Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that his party's resolve to continue their sustained struggle on every available forum till Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler and all those responsible for massacre of thousands of innocent Sikhs are put behind the bars and exemplary punishment was meted to them.
Leading the people of Punjab to offer collective prayer at Gurudwara Amb Sahib here on Wednesday, Badal said that all members of Sikh community all over the world and all right thinking Punjabis and Indians were offering prayer in the memory of those 7,000 Sikhs, who were butchered on the roads of New Delhi and other cities by the Congress goons-led by Sajjan and Tytler 26 years ago.
Badal said that they were offering prayer to give strength to them to sustain this struggle till every guilty was punished. He said that the Congress party was creating hurdles in judicial process because they fear that custodial interrogation of Sajjan and Tytler would reveal the real hand behind this worst ever genocide on this planet.
Badal said that what to talk of punishing, Congress awarded Sajjan and Tytler with party posts, and other responsible positions so that they could terrorize the witnesses. He said that the Congress kept sitting on this issue till Member of Parliament Harshimrat Kaur Badal shook the conscience of nation by raising this issue in the Lok Sabha last year.
