AMARINDER ACCUSES BADAL OF BEING PARTISAN TOWARDS CORRUPT OFFICIALS

Ludhiana April 13:
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh accused his successor Parkash Singh Badal of being partisan in dealing with officials facing corruption charges in the State.
"There are land grabbing allegations against both the former DGP S S Virk and the present DGP N P S Aulakh but while the former was arrested the latter has not even been touched", Singh told reporters here. Badal is answerable to the people of the state for this discriminatory attitude, he asserted.
In reply to a question regarding his differences with the Pradesh Congress Committee president Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, the former Chief Minister said there is a clash of priorities between them. While he prefers party workers over particular individuals, she considers individuals more important than the party cadres, he said.
