Ludhiana July 18:
The Punjab police have nabbed three more Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorists following the arrest of BKI commander Harminder Singh yesterday.
On the basis of Harminder's interrogation, police arrested three of his accomplices from Patiala last night, police sources said here. While all the three terrorists were said to be in their 20s, police had not revealed their names so far. A press conference by the police officials in this regard was likely to be held here tomorrow.
Harminder was nabbed during a raid in the Simlapuri area of the city yesterday. Harminder was a close associate of Babbar Khalsa militant Bakshish Singh alias Baba who was nabbed by the police in Amritsar last month. Baba had masterminded the attempt on Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Raheem near Karnal in 2008. The Dera head had escaped unhurt while some of his followers were injured.
Police sources said that Harminder was also wanted in connection with the Shingar cinema bomb explosion here which had left six dead and several injured in October 2007. Some weapons and explosive material had also been seized from the terrorist.
