Chasing 286 for victory Zimbabwe reached 289/4 in 48.2 overs to pick up a thoroughly deserved victory. Opener Brandon Taylor (81) led from the front before debutant Craig Ervine (67*) keep his cool to finish of the innings.

Taylor added 88 runs for the opening wicket with Hamilton Masakadza (46) before Amit Mishra (1/47) cleaned up the later.

But Taylor and Greame Lamb (27) continued to push the scorecard ticking as they keep in hunt of India's total. Lamb finally departed after he was trapped leg-before by Ravindra Jadeja (1/51) before debutant Vinay Kumar (2/51) had Taylor caught by Yadav to brought India riight back into the match.

Ervine and Charles Coventry (32) then produced some lusty shots to cut down the run-rate. Coventry was bowled by a slower delivery from Vinay Kumar as India looked for an opening.

But any chance of ana Indian comeback was snuffed out by the agressive Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbara (24*) and the classy Ervine as they attack the listless Indian seam bowling debutants to convincly sail home with 10 balls to spare.
