: Zaheer Khan is all but ruled out of India’s tour of Bangladesh, where they will be involved in a tri-series featuring Pakistan as the third team. The old heel injury that first hit Zaheer after the Boxing Day Test against the Australians at Melbourne has resurfaced, making him miss the his side’s previous two IPL matches in Chennai and Hyderabad.
He was also ruled out of the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s final match against the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, an inconsequential match he may have been rested for in any case.
With the selection slated for Friday in Mumbai, Zaheer is said to have himself expressed his unavailability as he feels the three-week break before the Asia Cup, starting in Pakistan on June 24, will help him get back to full fitness.
