Who's in it? James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender

The plot Set in the era before Prof Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr became mortal enemies as Professor X and Magneto respectively, Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class follows the two former allies as they lead a powerful team of mutants on a mission to save the planet from nuclear annihilation. Charles and Erik, both young men at the time the world tottered on the edge of catastrophe during the Cuban missile crisis era, must bond together to save humanity, a closeness that will test their friendship to destruction. And which will, as every X-Men fan knows, see Professor X lead the X-Men in the fight for good, as Magneto and the Brotherhood spread chaos.

What we liked The film is set in the 1940s and 1960s, and the look back on that time period is awesome. We love the way it mixes fact with fiction, transporting the reader back to a time rendered almost claustrophobic with international tension. Everyone in the film plays it like they're holding nothing back, resulting in a much more significant story than the average comic book movie.

What we didn't like Nothing! It exceeds all expectations!
