Winamp will be not available from December 20: Goodbye Winamp

There are many among you, who would be familiar Winamp media player. If you still love to use Winamp, then here is a bad news for you. Winamp is shutting down on December 20th. The company has recently announced on its official Website. However the owner of Winamp, i.e. AOL has yet not released any official statement regarding the shutdown.



The Winamp.com website noted that:

Winamp.com and associated web services will no longer be available past December 20, 2013.
Additionally, Winamp Media players will no longer be available for download. Please download the latest version before that date.
See release notes for latest improvements to this last release.
Thanks for supporting the Winamp community for over 15 years.



There is currently no details whether the Android version will be also shutting down or not. But we are expecting that it will also be shut down. Winamp says that, if you love their media player, then you can download the latest version before December 20 and keep using it, but you will not get any support or updates after December 20.
