Will launch campaign to oust Cong, says BJP chief

Talks are going on with the Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Maheshwar Singh for his return to the BJP and the party would launch a campaign to oust the Congress from power in the state, said state BJP president Satpal Singh Satti.
Addressing the media here today, he said during three years of Congress regime, mining, forest, drug and transfer mafia had become active in state, law and order situation had deteriorated and development had come to a standstill.
Satti said most of the BJP rebels had return back to the party fold while efforts were being made to resolve differences with the others.
During the three days of the BJP convention the party top brass gave tips to the party workers and exhorted them to gear up for the upcoming Assembly polls due in November 2017. “We asked party workers to go at village level to appraise the masses about various welfare schemes launched by the Central government for the welfare of all the sections of society” he added.
Final session of convention was addressed by organization national general secretary Ram Lal, who exhorted party workers to work hard to make the masses aware of good governance of Modi Government, which will pave the way for BJP win in state in upcoming Assembly election” he remarked.
Counting the achievements of the Central government for state, he said Himachal Pradesh was granted a special category status by the Modi government, which had been withdrawn by the Congress-led UPA government.
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal and state BJP media co-coordinator Praveen Sharma accompanied him during the conference.
