While Punjab is struggling to cope with power shortage, the Bhakra Dam, run by the Bhara Beas Management Board , has given some hope of improvement in the generation.
The level of water in the reservoir has been recorded at 32 feet higher than last year. According to information received here, the water level was 1638.51 feet against 1606.28 feet. The inflow of water into the dam is 41,751 cusecs and ouflow to Nangal Dam is 26,000 cusecs.
