Haan Neil bai.. its bad isnt it... but yaar let me tell you one incident that happened to me when i came to Sydney... i was in search for jobs... and i went to this one very reputed international software company in North Sydney(you might be knowing this, NEil bai) and yaar HR Manager was a girl and amritdhari girl with Keski on her head.. oo man.. she was looking like a princess... anyways few days later i happened to saw her in Train and she was sitting and doing her path from her PDA... couple of days later i saw her in her BMW along with her husband.. and then i meet them in gurudwtra and this time i talked to her and her husband.. Her husband amritdhari and a renowed doctor in Renowed Sydney hospital.. and i asked them isnt it difficult in todays world.. and they said its only because of Amrit and by gods grace that we are here and its only because of his kirpa that we are good human beings.. Its the strength we derive from Amrit & God that we are here.....and after getting to know them more, i came to know that they have got about 10 charity institutuiions and they gave so much money for underprivilegd children and all.. Isnt that Great? for me it was...

DEFINITION OF SIKH

Laid on the blood of martyrs
cladded in splendid turbans
The Sikh faith,immensely logical,proved historical.

Popularily known as Sardar ji's
Have borne pain with magical ease

'As is God,so is the Guru and as is the Guru so must be a Sikh'
Iron bangles in our wrists
Wooden combs under our turbans
Owning unshorn hair
Even in unimaginable conditions did dare.

Guru Gobind's brave hearts,honourable men
Experienced warriors,drilled in valour
Bathed in Vaaheguru's grace
Cladded in Sikhly robes
Against tyranny,the only hopes.

Guru Nanak,a man of courage, compassion,
Intellect,tireless pursuit of goals,
An emancipated being.
Orthrodox ideas,Immoral beliefs,he aimed abolishing.
Excessive importance he laid on liberal living.

Guru Nanak percieved the true principles of reforms,
To lay those broad foundations,
Enabled his successor Gobind to fire the minds of
his countrymen with a new valour and give practical
effect to the doctrine that the lowest is equal with
the highest in race as in creed,in political rights as
in religious hopes.

Guru Nanak's life coincided with a period of religious renaissance.
John Calvin, Martin Luther,his contemporaries.
Quoted Guru Nanak,'Religion does not lie in empty words.
He who regards all men as one is religious.'
His ideas authentic,nodern,marvellous.'

His Excellency Guru Gobind Singh
Humble he was,humility he preached
Against casteism he was, equality he preached
Apostle of Equality,Justice,he was
Incarnation of freedom,revolution he was
Life according to the Sikh Rehat Maryada he pleaded of course.

Ever Nishan sahib will keep flying high
Even in the world wars Sikhs did die.

Ample callow Sikhs massacred
Panjpyare,Sahibzade
Many others of Sikh mothers

Gorgeous Dastaars,perfect outlook,full beards.
Members of the Guru's Fauja,His Sangat,Gurudwara,His presence

Gur.Arjan,burnt alive
Tegh Bahadar,beheaded
Gobind Singh,stabbed
Deep Singh,decapitated
Mani Singh,cut limb by limb
Innumerable Sikhs,inhumanly slain
Inflicted with immense pain.

May the entire world be blessed
In turbans Sikhs are dressed

Emperors who imparted justice
Harbingers of peace,harmony,revolution
Sikhs gifted India rejuvenation.

Guru Gobind singh quoted at Anandpur,
'You're the sons of Nanak
The chosen ones,
The creator's own.
Love man as man,
Make no distinctions of caste or creed,
You will bow your head only to your Master,
You will not worship stock, stone, idol or tomb.
Remember always in times of difficulty,
The Holy names of the Masters,
Nanak,Angad,Amar Dass,Ram Dass,Arjan Dev,
Hargobind,Har Rai,Harkrishan,Tegh Bahadar.
I make you a rosary of these names,
You shall not pray each for himself,
For the entire Khalsa,
In each of you the whole brotherhood shallbe incarnated.
You are my sons both in flesh and spirit.

Bole So Nihal-Sat Sri Akal, our battle cry
In eradicating tyranny innumerable Sikhs did die.

Their deeds emmited dazzling radiance
As intangible rocks the stood in defiance

Sikhism is courage,honour and truth
Where we are taught how to seek the right
Struggle,conquer in life's great fight.

Forcible conversion to Islam was the trend
Death Sikhs did award to injust to curb and end
Indian belief Sikhs did reform,mend.

Darbar Sahib,Amritsar,extremely magnificient
Oceans of Dastaars,beards and Gurbani
The celestial golden radiance,immemorable
Enchanted by it's beauty
Hypnotized by the sight
Thou shall be compelled to say'This place is right'

Gurfateh!Victory to the Guru
Khalsa the Guru organized
His army's feats of strength against tyranny he exercised.

Sikhs,brutally butchered.
Bellies of Sikhs ripped open,
Iron pegs struck into their heads,
Innumerable imprisoned,
Unaccountable starved to death,
Immense number,beheaded,
Carcasses,a common sight,
Pyramids of Sikh heads constructed,
Despite unimaginable brutalities,
Sikhs did strive,eminently survive.

Since they've evolved,300 times the Earth has revolved
With extensive caliber
Unaccountable feats of strength
Born gutsy,utmost valiant.
Deeds enthusiastic,utterly jubliant.

Unjustly sever were the days
Death was noticed even in the dazzling Sun's rays
Mughals Khalsa did brave,India's dignity did they save
Independence Sikhs did crave.

Born a king,Even he did Vaaheguru's hymns sing
India Gobind Singh energised
Exceptionally on villians clout he exercised.
Born a king,Even he did Vaaheguru's hymns sing.

Distinguished Statesmen,eminent Warriors,
Illustrious Khalsa,United Khalsa,
Eliminated Diplomacy,Treachery,
Two sides of the British Coin,
Their rule Sikhs did ruin.

Revolted against wickedness
With peace this nation did they harness

Overcome did they ample stumbling blocks
Injustice confront like unshakable rocks.

Descendants of Tegh Bahadar
Known as 'Hind Ki Chadar'
Of the Panth-Gobind is the father

Their valour knew no bounds
Patriotism was limitless
Even the hostile, injured soldiers did they caress, redress

Standing out for their distinctive appearence, marvellous humour
Unaccountable valour,Their assertiveness,energy undiminished
Savage persecutions Khalsa extinguished.

Experienced Khalsa faced all
Invasions and Inquisitions
Triumphs accompanied by tragidies
Piety along with sense of divine purpose
Devotion,also depravities
Loyalties and betrayals
Courage,convictions,confronted eliminations.

Sikhism,basic compassion of Hinduism
Essential brotherhood of Islam
Incurred absurdities,encouraged equality
Enforced peace,Insisted reformation,caused amendation

Withstanding long years of Savage Persecution
Sikhs resurrected India,Caused amendation.

Immensely inspired by Tegh Bahdar's resolute character,
Enchanted by his deeds,
Sikh sowed revolutionary seeds.

Gobind Singh resolved upon awakening India,
To a new life and upon giving accuracy,
Aimed to broaden the techings of Nanak,
In the heart of a powerful empire.
He set himself the task of subverting it.
From the midst of Social Degradation,
Religious Corruption,
Guru Sahib called for simplicity of manners,
Singleness of purpose.
Gobind Singh proclaimed,
'Turban,an indispensible symbol of the Sikh attire.'

Gobind Singh founded the fellowship of Khalsa.
Gave birth to distinctive code of personal
Appearence,Dress,Conduct.
Tyrannical deeds Sikhs did obstruct.

Gobind Singh,Sharp-featured,Tall,Wiry,
Superbly Dressed,Wearing a Plume-Topped Turban,
Armed with a variety of weapons.
When seated on throne or out hunting,
A white Hawk perched on his left hand.
Quoted His Excellency,'Men are all one'.
Inequality he did shun.

Guru Har Rai,ordered by Aurengzeb, the Austere
to reach Delhi, refused the Firman(Royal Order).
Guru Sahib remarked,'I am not a King who
payeth thee tribute, nor do I desire to recieve
anything from thee, neither do we stand in priest
or disciple relation, so wherefore hath thou
summoned me?'.

Guru Hargobind ceaselessly contributed to the
spiritual goals set by his fore bearers.
He Highlighted the ongoing importance of
striking back at those who dared raise hands
against Religious beliefs.
Guru Sahib transformed the passive Indian
mood of servility into one of confident
defiance of auto cratic rulers, and brimmed
Sikhs with fierce pride and unimagianble valour.

During the Mughal age
A Muslim Commoner,excessively powerful,
Could order a Hindu to open his mouth and
then could spit into it.
Rejuvenated India Sikhs did knit.
Brought an end to every injust bit.

Tyrannical Mughal rulers passed anti-Hindu laws.
Sikhs brought them out of their fatal jaws.
Hindus, not allowed to ride on horses.
In some villages on donkeys.
In many that too was a crime.
Dismayed,Shattered were the Hindus in the Mughal regime.

Khalsa,an aristocracy dedicated and consciously trained,
Grounded in virtue,In talent and in self-imposed code of sacrifice
to humanity.

Hindu women were transformed to slaves in Central Asia.
Sikhs, aginst unsocial, ineducable fought.
Their women back they brought.
Due to Sikhs,Hinduism survived.
India they revived.

Unstintingly Sikhs did sacrifice.
Unparalelled their martyrdoms.
Incomparable their bravery.
Peace Sikhs did unshackle,
Injustice,reduce to rubble.

Rejecting intolerance of other faiths,
Revolting against idol worship.
Sikhism, a movement of peace,
Transformed of necessity,into a community,
Which places Military values alongside Spiritual.

Wahe Guru Ji Da Khalsa,
Wahe Guru Ji Di Fateh.
The Khalsa belong to God and
God's truth shall always prevail.

religion is something that keeps you together .. dharma what we say

wht peepz today confuse with religion is communities (communities based on various ways of belieiving and worshipping god)
this is the source of all problems like religious dangas, religious non-tolerance, misinterpretation of jehad etc etc

thawass my view .. no offences to any1
