Uber launches its services in Saudi Arabia
Uber, which is a San Francisco based cab service, has today officially launched its service in the Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh. After around three months of beta testing, Uber is finally in the new market discovering new opportunities and helping new users.
According to Karim Khattar, Uberβs general manager in Saudi Arabia, these three months of beta testing were better than expected. The company has also started testing the service in Jeddah.
For those who are unaware about Uber, it is a service which connects passengers with cars for hire. Just you have to download the official Uber app in your Smartphone, and after setting-up your account, users need to select the location on a map and it will show the available cars with an estimated time of arrival. You are also not required to pay any cash to the driver, the app will automatically deduct the amount from your credit card.
