Toyota FT-CH Concept – A younger, Cost effective version to Prius unveiled at Detroit 2010

Detroit auto show is flooded with new concept cars and today adding to the numbers was Toyota FT-CH Concept. It’s a new Toyota hybrid vehicle, designed especially for urban use and to expand and add to Toyota’s hybrid vehicle product range. FT-CH concept is lighter in weight, more fuel efficient, 560mm shorter, and will be cost effective than Prius, which will surely appeal the younger but less affluent generation. The four-seat FT-CH concept was designed by the Toyota ED2 design studio in Nice. Toyota is expected to bring an all-electric car to market by 2012 and a fuel-cell vehicle by 2015. Toyota is all hopeful to sell millions of hybrid cars globally in the coming years, and majority of them in North America. More images after the jump.
