A 38-year-old woman was strangulated to death by her nephew in outer Delhi's Aman Vihar area after she resisted molestation.
Initially the victim's nephew, identified as Chintu(19), claimed that she died after she fell from stairs on Wednesday afternoon. However, the post-mortem report confirmed that she was strangulated to death.
ACCUSED ARRESTED
Police arrested the victim's nephew Chintu on the charges of murder and has been sent to judicial custody. He was later produced before a local court.
"Initially he tried to mislead the police by giving false account of the incident but after the sustained interrogation, he broke down and confessed that he had killed her," said an official.
