Tata Motors is all set to launch a CNG version of its award-winning small car, the Nano, on October 8. The Tata Nano emax was revealed by the carmaker earlier in the year as part of a new initiative -- Horizonext.
The Nano emax will come equipped with a 32-litre CNG tank and its claimed 36km per kg fuel efficiency should allow a range of 400km. The CNG-fuelled engine is good for 32.5bhp and 5kgm of torque.
The CNG version of the Tata Nano would have the same features as the regular car and only the emax badging on the rear hatch, the CNG toggle switch and a green surround for the speedo are the only differentiators.
Although there is no confirmation on this yet, Tata Motors is not expected to price the Nano emax higher than the petrol-powered car. [/img][/SIZE][/I]
