Sony has shown off a new concept it has been working on, dubbed the Playroom. The concept uses the PlayStation Eye camera alongside the PlayStation 4's DualShock 4 controller to give a sort of augmented reality experience. Check out the video that shows off the concept:

Before you ask, no, the PlayStation Eye does not have a projector. Instead, the people in the video are looking at all of this on their screens. This does give us a great look at the capabilities of the PlayStation Eye camera, though. It even seems to have some cross-platform stuff going on with smartphones, where you can, for example, add new elements to your game by drawing on your smartphone.

One of the most noteworthy things to take away from the concept is that Sony seems to be doing away with the Move controller. Instead, the company has packed the Move's sensor into the DualShock 4, thus giving the controller better motion-controls.

The controller has the Move's sensor built into it

Sony just recently revealed the pricing for its next-gen console, the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 is going to be priced at $399 (Rs 23,300 approx). This could be a direct hit for the Xbox One that’s launching in November with a price tag of $499 price (Rs 28,900 approx).

The company had earlier announced that the PS4 would have no restrictions on used games with its console. This is another marked difference from the Xbox One, as reported earlier, because Microsoft has been quite clear on its stand on used games.
