A six-year-old student of a prominent school in south Delhi was found dead in a pit under the school's amphitheatre this afternoon.
The boy, a class 1 student at Ryan International school in Vasant Kunj, was found unconscious. The school authorities took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
It was the hospital which informed the police, following which several police teams and government department officers rushed to the spot, said a police official.
"Several police teams are at the spot. Investigation is underway," a senior police official said adding that a case of negligence is likely to be registered in this connection.
