Mumbai: The Shiv Sena heaved a huge sigh of relief yesterday, as the Bombay High Court granted conditional permission to it to hold its annual Dussehra rally at the Shivaji Park here on October 6.

One of the restrictions that the high court has imposed on the Shiv Sena is that the noise levels at Shivaji Park should not exceed 55 decibels during its rally.

Secondly, the high court has made it mandatory on the Shiv Sena to restore the Shivaji Park ground to its original state within 24 hours of the completion of its rally.

Such a permission is necessary after the Maharashtra government — based on a high court order — declared the Shivaji Park ground and surrounding areas as a "silence zone" in May last year.
