Samsung Tizen for U.S. not coming anytime soon says Samsung

Samsung Tizen is company’s own new Mobile Operating System, which is in rumors for few months. The Launch of first Samsung device to feature Tizen OS on Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo is very near and if new rumors are to be believed then, Tizen will be not coming anytime soon in the U.S. Market.

Samsung’s Director of Product Marketing US, Ryan Bidan has recently revealed that Samsung has no intentions to bring Tizen in such a mature market, until they get a good number of responses.

“We don’t feel the U.S. is a great test market for those kinds of products. The U.S. market is pretty mature. Bringing a new entrant here that doesn’t meet a certain performance bar would be a challenge. Recognizing that, we don’t want to set ourselves up for failure.”

NTT DoCoMo has already confirmed that Tizen Device will be coming in March 2014. So, it will be good to see if Tizen can prove itself as a good competitor for Android and iOS.
