Sonakshi Sinha, whose second film Rowdy Rathore released on Friday, celebrates her 25th birthday today. The actress started her film career with the explosive action-comedy film Dabangg in 2010, opposite Salman Khan. The film fetched her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
The daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi started her career as a model. She walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week in 2008 and 2009. She completed a fashion designing course before entering Bollywood. For her first film role, Jr Shotgun Sinha lost 30 kgs to portray village belle Rajo.
Post the success of Dabangg, Sonakshi has graced the covers of Vogue, Maxim and Marie Claire but the actress maintains that she will not do intimate scenes or sport a bikini ever on screen. Sonakshi has largely avoided feeding the rumour mills, but there were whispers of a relationship with her Lootera co-star, Ranveer Singh, who's break up with actress Anushka Sharma was ascribed to her.
Sonakshi has an interesting line up of films which includes Son Of Sardaar opposite Sanjay Dutt, Jokeropposite Akshay Kumar, Dabangg 2opposite Salman Khan and Lootera opposite Ranveer Singh. In fact, the actress has been so busy juggling shoots and publicity duty that she had to especially ask for a day off on her birthday.
