Rick Springfield has been released from jail after being arrested by sheriff's deputies on Sunday night on suspicion of drunken driving.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department says in a news release that the rocker was stopped around 8pm after a deputy spotted him speeding in his 1963 Corvette on the Pacific Coast highway.
The department states a test showed Springfield's blood-alcohol content was .10 per cent, which is over the .08 limit in which a person is presumed to be drunk.
The Jessie's Girl singer was released on Monday and is due in a courtroom in Malibu on July 5.
