Rare items of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji[FONT=Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif]After the ascension to heaven of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Guru Hargobind Sahib J became the sixth Guru of the Sikhs. The emperor Jehangir pursued Guru Ji of the supposedly debt against Guru Arjun Dev Ji. It is stated that Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was imprisoned sometime in 1609. [/FONT]

But who can capture and imprison the builder and owner of the Akal Takhat (throne of the Immortal One)? Who can capture the wearer of the swords of 'Miri' and 'Piri' ? Who has the ability to capture the one who is One with the Almighty?[/FONT]

[FONT=Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif]The answer is no one. The precise reason why Guru Sahib Ji went into the Gowalior fort was to meet and free those 52 princes and rajas that had been locked up by the emperor. It is said that while Guru Sahib Ji was within the fort, his followers and disciples would gather outside the huge walls and pay obeisance. When the time came for Guru Sahib Ji to leave the castle he insisted that the princes and rajas be released also. The emperor stipulated that however many can hold on to the Gurus garments may leave with him. Guru Sahib Ji quickly got a garment made with 52 long tassels and in this was on Diwali day of around 1611 Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji walked out to the Gowalior fort accompanied by all the 52 rajas and princes. It was a day of great joy and happiness for the fledgling Sikhs. [/FONT]
