ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ 'ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਯੁੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਸੱਭਿਅਤਾ 'ਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਗੁੰਮ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਜਹੀ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ 'ਪੱਖੀਆਂ' ਜਿਸਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਘਰ 'ਚ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਤੋਹਫੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਇਸਦਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਆਮ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ।

It's ok, with time and technology some things/instruments/machinery changes. Pakhiya, charkhe were the instruments used at that time, these are material things and they cannot be cultural things.

Cultural things are the festivities (baisakhi, Gurpurabs, Diwali etc etc), language, literature, arts, brotherhood in villages, respect of elders, anakh naal jeyona, lorr paen te shaheediya dena, dhee-bahen di izzata de raakhe ban-na........dats our culture.
