Punjab News Punjab to set up 43 new ITIS

Punjab Technical Education Minister Surjeet Kumar Jyani announced setting up of 43 new ITIs, 250 skill development centers and filling up the posts of 680 instructors in ITIs within next six months.

Mr Jyani made this announcements while talkig to reporters after handing over regularization orders to 389 contractual employees of Technical Education Department. The Minister said that the Punjab government was committed to provide vocational education to the students to make them economically self-dependant. He said that ITIs would change its curricula according to the changing needs of industry so that employability of ITI trainees could be increased.
