Punj Lloyd bags order for Dubai jet fuel pipeline

Mumbai, Oct 25 (IANS) Diversified conglomerate Punj Lloyd Tuesday said it has bagged an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project worth Rs.623 crore to set up a jet fuel pipeline in Dubai.

'Punj Lloyd Group has been awarded an EPC contract, worth Rs.623 crore ($126.86 million)... is scheduled for commissioning by 2013,' the company said in a regulatory filling to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

According to the statement, the project has been awarded by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), which is a wholly-owned company of the government of Dubai.

'The scope of work entails EPC of jet fuel pipeline terminal and associated facilities required for jet fuel handling.'

The filling added that the project will help establish a storage facility at Jebel Au Free Zone Area (JAFZA) for the distribution of various petroleum products to Dubai International Airport (DIA).
