Just days after the south actor, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva announced his love for actress Nayantara and also confirmed that they could get married soon, his wife Latha has approached a family court to put a halt to the ‘illicit relationship’ and for the restoration of her ‘conjugal rights’, which means getting her husband back.

According to reports, Latha has filed a petition in which she states that she and Prabhu Deva married in 1995 and had three children. Latha says her married life was going smooth until her husband directed actress Nayantara in Tamil flick Villu in 2008. At that time, she says she was worried by the media reports of a romance brewing between her husband and the actress, but she chose to ignore the rumours.

In the petition Latha also adds that when she came to know about the affair, Nayantara asked her to give consent to the relationship. Latha alleges that the actress also spread rumours that she (Nayan) gave her (Latha) Rs. 3 crore in cash and jewellery for the consent.

Latha says in the petition that she and her family (two kids) are dependent on Prabhu Deva but he’s withdrawn financial support, allegedly at the behest of Nayantara.
