PM phones Haryana CM on relief measures

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has assured Haryana of all help to effectively deal with the floods in the state.

Manmohan Singh phoned Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda late this evening to enquire about the situation in the state and the measures being taken to provide succour to the affected persons.

He is understood to have told Hooda that the Central Government would provide all possible help to the state to step up relief operations.

Hooda assured the Prime Minister that all efforts were being made to take care of the flood-hit.
