Philippines' popular 'Showtime' comes to Dubai

Dubai: The Filipino show Kabayan, It's Showtime!, produced by ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel (TFC), was successfully held on Friday night at the Dubai Airport Expo.
The event was to promote Showtime, a reality talent-search programme in the Philippines, also broadcast in the UAE.
In a pre-show conference on Thursday, Showtime hosts said that they are very happy to perform before fellow Filipinos in the UAE. Present during the press conference were Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Kuya Kim Atienza, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz. Jon Avila also joined the Showtime gig in Dubai.
Performers from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Dubai reigned supreme in Friday's special of the reality talent show. The KSA Knights from Jeddah and Watawat Dance Crew from Dubai each drew a perfect 10 from the judges to win the competition. The winning groups received Dh10,000 each, trophies and gift items.
The co-champions were among four groups that made it to the final showdown on Friday night.
