A three-year-old girl was found inside a locked car parked on a roadside at Hyderabad's Shamshabad area on Wednesday. Passers-by rushed to rescue the girl when they saw her crying. "We could not open the door from outside as the car was centrally locked," said constable Venkatesh.
The girl had the car keys. "Later, we came to know that the girl's parents had gone to a nearby hotel to have breakfast. While leaving the car, they left the girl in the vehicle and handed over the keys to her," the constable said. While playing with the keys, the girl accidentally pressed a button and locked the car. When the parents reached the spot, even they could not open the doors. Finally, Venkatesh and home guard Gautam forcibly opened a car window. "The worried parents immediately got into the vehicle and quickly drove towards Bengaluru," Venkatesh said.
Inspector M Mahesh said no case has been registered so far.
