Pakistan again warns India, says 'will have to face consequences of war'
Delhi: Pakistan has yet again warned India of the consequences of a war.
As per a report in India Today news channel, Pak's Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that India was pushing for war.
Rafique also said that India will have to face the consequences
Just days ago, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had also echoed similar sentiments and had said that his country was ready for a short or long conflict.
Asif had also said that Pakistan would inflict heavy losses on India in case "war hysteria" overcomes Indian leadership.
The Pak Defence Minister's reaction came after India's Army Chief General Dalbir Singh said that that was prepared for "swift and short" wars in the future.
Asif had further said that Pakistan believed in peace but knew how to respond to any aggression.
And on Indian Army Chief's remarks, he had said, "Pakistan is fully prepared to give a befitting response if India imposed short or prolonged war."
On September 01, Dalbir Singh had said that the military needs to be ready for short wars as the borders are live with frequent ceasefire violations and infiltration bids by Pakistan.
Speaking at the Tri Service Seminar on the 1965 Indo-Pak War, Chief of Army Staff had said, “We are acutely aware that the swift short nature of future wars is likely to offer limited warning time. This calls for maintaining very high level of operational preparedness at all times, it's something that has now become important in our strategy,” as per ANI.
He also said that the Indian Army has become more alert with the rise in the number of ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
