Islamabad: Despite official rejections of the dossier handed over by India on evidence of the Mumbai attacks, Pakistan’s Information minister Sherry Rehman says the government is still processing the evidence.

Speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN, Rehman said Pakistan will wait until its investigations are complete, and that it would like its investigators to be given access to the sites of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

Referring to the attacks Rehman said “The perpetrators of this heinous crime must be brought to justice.”

Rehman’s remarks to CNN-IBN seems at odds with other statements from Pakistani officials- most notably the Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir who told the Pakistan assembly’s Foreign Relations Council that India’s evidence was “insufficient and not credible.”

“Pakistan has very stringent laws against terrorism and it is in our core values to make sure that all those who undertake such heinous acts humanity are brought to justice. You can be rest assured that we will do that,” she said.
