it depends. some of those artists have people make the lyrics for them, others steal other peoples productions like songs.

black people in west are not moving up in the music industry because they do not own all the recording labels. all these music contracts are weak.

i am not too sure about punjabi artists, but they need to own their own companies and record labels.

i think bollywood operates punjabi music industry
