This not first time that any pakistani player commented such a stupid comment..... in past it was Imran khan once said playing(cricket) with india feels like i am on jehad with them..
Then that guy allu<potato>, Inzamam ul-Haq what ever that haq fak name is,when he lost a tournament (final) against india in 2003-04 he said this will effect the relation with india and pakistan. And he scored in that match just 15 lol..
Then comes IPL when no porkis players was taken, that time Sohail tanvir who played for rajasthan royal, open his gutter mouth and in some pakistan talkshow he said "about racist remarks to Hindus & indians when he was not selected in the 2010 IPL" ...earning so much from IPL and then going back to their country and barking anti-indian .. Rascals jis thali seh khaya ussi meh shed kerteh hai...
And now this big mouth afridi ..... Now who playing and joining religion/politics with cricket !!!
2-faced people jealous again.
------------

ISLAMABAD: Days after winning the hearts of numerous Indian fans with his remarks after his team's loss in the World Cup semifinal, Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has said Indians are not as large-hearted as Pakistanis.

Afridi also slammed the Indian media for its "very negative approach" and said the Pakistani media was a "hundred times better" than its Indian counterpart.

"In my opinion, if I have to tell the truth, they (Indians) will never have hearts like Muslims and Pakistanis. I don't think they have the large and clean hearts that Allah has given us," Afridi said during a talk show on Samaa news channel when he was asked about relations between the two countries.

############ 2-faced people jealous again...chameleon

"It is a very difficult thing for us to live with them (Indians) or to have long-term relationship with them. Nothing will come out of talks. See how many times in the past 60 years we have had friendship and then how many times things have gone bad," he said as the audience in the TV channel's studio applauded him repeatedly.<---- (Exactly, waste of time of doing nach gana and playing with a fail state like pakistan)

Asked about the Indian media's coverage of the Pakistani team during the semifinal with India at Mohali on March 30, Afridi replied: "The Indian media has a very negative approach and very negative thoughts. The people may not be like that but I think the media had a very dirty role in spoiling relations between us and India.

"Our media, which is criticised by people, is hundred times better than theirs," he said.

India beat Pakistan in the semifinal, which was watched by the Prime Ministers of the two countries, who used cricket diplomacy to boost the peace process between the two sides.

Afridi also criticised Interior Minister Rehman Malik for warning the Pakistani team not to get involved in match-fixing and Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who vowed to dedicate victory in the World Cup final to victims of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

"I think they were both very stupid comments by Rehman Malik and Gautam Gambhir...I wasn't expecting this from Gautam...This is all politics, what do you know about who carried out the Bombay attacks?" he said.
The Mumbai attacks, which left 166 people dead, were carried out by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.

some good comments flashing in all news site, tweeter all around da net......

Raj(mumbai)
His comments to the Pakistani channel & the flipflop replies on indian channel clearly shows Afridi is a snake with two mouths,One does not knows what other says.

Jasmeet kaur(Montreal)
Best scope for Peace is if the two countries IGNORE each other. Unfortunately they(Pak) simply do not want to ignore us.

Reya(USA)
I agree with you jasmeet. The Pakistanis are like a cancer, better avoid them. But they are suffering from "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder". They keep on sending terrorists into India, they barge into the discussion forums of our web sites and make insulting remarks against the hosts (Indians).... So they keep on reminding us that they EXIST and how dare the Indians ignore them? Thus for the Pakis, they can not live with the Indians NOR can they live without the Indians.

Vish(London)
khisiyani billi...khabha noche... wrong timing afridi...not urs... ur father's.....!!!

Usman(mumbai)
Now Afridi is trying to do damage control by doing some white-washing, cover ups etc. NO, Mr Afridi. You have NOT been quoted out of context. But you were OUT OF YOUR MIND and you had lost your sensitivity when you degraded Indians. No amount of cover ups and white-washes are going to undo the damage. For decades to come, your words will haunt you every time you meet any Indian in any part of the world.

Vikram Saluja (Indore, India)
Pakistanis has big heart therefore all blood goes there and no blood goes to brain, that why the are dumb ass. stop making useless comment and accept the defeat..

Rahul (New York USA)
Afridi's comment have shamed not only him but all pakistanis. As long as we have this mentality, pakistanis will never improve. It all starts with their media, madrasas and the hatred they have for india. What you sow is what you reap. They have hatred from the beginning and that is what they have received even within their own country.

Sarfaraz(UP)
If you check the video on youTube (Faisala Aap Ka, 02 April 2011, Samaa TV, Part 3/3 last six minutes), there are two aspects to the interview. The brain-washed /radicalized Paki Jehadis loudly applauding to Afridi's shamelessly communal statements. Look at the profile - bearded maulanas, burqa/hijab wearing Jihadi women.... All clapping loudly celebrating anti-kafir statements.

Ali(india)
Pakistan is a failed state. A country which does not export anything except terrorist is called a failed state. Another joke is you comparing Pakistan to India. Yes our country has a long way to go, but at least we are on the right track. We have not chosen the way of violence and cowardice by attacking innocent people. If you have guts then declare an open war and we will mop the floor with your face the 4th time. Just because Pakistan has nuclear weapons does not make it a threat. If you go and look in your own backyard your nukes has been taken over by ur owner's the USA. so good luck fighting India with just words.

Arjan(Mohali)
Afridi is right when he says " Indians can never be like Pakistanis". They sent terrorists to Mumbai and are continuing doing that, they attacked Sri Lankan Cricket team when they were in Pak. I am sure Indians would not even wish to be like Pakis. Cant you see the impact of the soil. When Afridi was in India, he was talking peace and sense; as soon as he landed in Pak, he started spitting venom, talking communal and rubbish. FRUSTRATION SPEAKS IN THE FORM OF AFRIDI.

Roy(bangalore)
Yes he is 100% correct, Yes Indians are not large hearted like Pakistanis. Pakistanis are very large and also kind herated like Ajmal kasab and his gang, Taliban Muslims, etc why can't Pakistan honour Ajmal with Shaan E Pakistan

Mathew(kerela)
Does anyone like to live with snakes? (thats pakistan)

Kumar(hyderabad)
Afridi please stop your large hearted peoples life's who were dying day by day from own large hearted peoples. I think that Afridi is lost his control by seeing India's victory, may god bless you and get well soon for next defeat.

Ali(hindustan)
AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA, Yes :Pakistanis are large hearted they fix matches against their own country. Poor guy he has lost it, surprising to see that he is singing a different tune than the one when he reached Pakistani airport, where he scolded the reporters for being obsessed with India. I won't be surprised if the news comes that he was forced to do make this statement because of a "threat" to his life and of his family. Anywayz all the pakis can cry themselves to sleep and if you can't get over the fact that India and WORLD CHAMPIONS then please end your life and do humanity a big favor or do you want to "fix" this also?

Sona(jammu)
I wonder who is more immature...Afridi for making such irresponsible comments...or WE for reacting to such trash!

Steven(dubai)
Dear Afridi, if you all have "clean heart" then why you torture Christian in your country in the name of " Blasphemy " due to false accusation every month hundreds of poor Christian are put into jail. This act comes from clean heart.

Ms.sundaram(delhi)
Afridis comments sounds like sour grapes. He is a chameleon changing his versions as per his conditions. In order to save his skin he can say what ever comes to his mind.

Indian govt. should stop issuing visas to pakis, whether it may be in cricket or in cinema, govt should revoke the visas issued to Adnan sami & Veena malik, they come here, make money, once border is crossed start spitting venom, ruthless animals. From an un civilised, un educated, illitrate guy like afridi what more can we expect.

Ranjit(chandigarh)
Hello Afridi , We understand your utter frustration for not being allowed to play IPL. This is obvious because hundreds of cricketers around the world are earning crores by playing in IPL. Even if i dont consider pakistan a land of terrorists, its players are always famous for fixing a match againts own country. If this is an example of being large hearted, we dont want to be !!!

Harbhajan hits out at Afridi for his comments on Indians

JALLANDHAR:
Ace Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh hit out at Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi for his out-of-turn reaction on Indians and their supposedly lack of big-heartedness.

"If Indians were not large-hearted, they wouldn't have made so much of progress and delivered growth," said an angry Harbhajan, reacting to Afridi's controversial remarks that Indians cannot be as large-hearted as the Pakistani.

"I think it's been an uncalled for reaction. It wouldn't help the love and respect with which he is treated in this country."

Afridi, in a television interview, had berated Indians for their "lack of large heart, unlike Muslims and Pakistanis".

After his remarks created a furore, Afridi did a volte-face, claiming that he was misunderstood and quoted out of context.

‘Pak’s big heart led to dropped catches!’ lolzzzzzz
-Yuvraj Singh

Afridi’s rant has left Yuvraj Singh fuming. “It’s true that Pakistanis have a large heart,” he told mdia tongue firmly in cheek. “Or how would you explain their generous gesture of dropping so many catches during that fateful India-Pak semifinal match?”

hahhaha so true yuvi said------
Yes, when his men dropped 4 catches, he wanted us to drop atleast 2, on that count we are not large hearted. After 26/11 we should not have extended such hospitality to them. Afridi of yore was an illiterate and what all he has learned are due to cricket and the attendant travel.
what a prick!

Re: Muslims & pakistani are Large hearted then Indians: Afri

Muslim scholars slam Afridi's line

MUMBAI: Outraged over Pakistani cricket team captain Shahid Afridi's anti-India comments, a group of Muslim clerics and intelligentsia blamed the young cricketer's outbursts on "the doctored Islam that is being taught in Pakistani schools and madrassas". They advised Afridi to "utilize his time and resources to fight fanaticism, which is growing in Pakistan".

"Indians will never have hearts like Muslims and Pakistanis. I don't think they have the clean and large hearts that Allah has given us," Afridi was quoted as saying on a television channel. He later retracted his statement, but the damage had been done.

Eminent Indian Muslim scholars have said that his comments were immature and uncalled for. "If Allah has really given Pakistan and Pakistani Muslims such a large heart, why is it that the minorities, the Ahmedias and the Shias, live in fear there," asked Mumbai-based Shia scholar Maulana Zaheer Abbas Rizvi. He should not have spoken so irresponsibly. "It is this supremacist idea of Islam that is forcing well-off Pakistanis to flee that country. While the affluent are leaving the country, the poor are getting killed in the almost daily terrorist attacks in Pakistan," he said.

Scholars mentioned the recent murders of liberal voices such as Punjab governor Salman Taseer who had opposed the man-made blasphemy laws as an example of increasing intolerance in Pakistan. "I am shocked that Afridi forgot so soon the kind of magnanimity and hospitality Indians showed him and his team on the occasion of the semi-final match at Mohali near Chandigarh," said Islamic scholar Asghar Ali Engineer. "Were not Indians large-hearted when they cheered Pakistanis' conduct on the field and off it? What else did he expect?" asked Engineer.

While agreeing that the media had created hype around cricket, Engineer asked Afridi to utilize his time and resources to fight fanaticism. "It shows an exclusivist, supremacist Islam, which children in Pakistan are growing up with."

Kamal Farooqui, a member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, said Afridi's statements should have been ignored. "Afridi couldn't stomach Pakistani's defeat at Mohali and India's win in Mumbai. His comments should be ignored," said Farooqui.

Re: Muslims & pakistani are Large hearted then Indians: Afri

His side of the story

April 05, 2011: Probably realizing in hindsight that he may have hurt the sentiments of billions of Indians with his recent statements to Pakistani media, Shahid Afridi, the Pakistan cricket captain tried to make amends in an interview by stating that he had been misquoted.
It may be noted that Afridi on landing on Pakistani soil after his team's defeat against India in the semi final of the World Cup, told the press there, that the Indian mass media by and large was negative and it was his belief that Indians would never have hearts (as large) as the Pakistanis.
Thus in one stroke by these hurtful statement, he managed to erase off all the good-will and love showered on him by millions of Indian fans, for his graciousness and sportsman spirit even in defeat. On being asked in Hindi by the anchor of the private TV channel, why he had hurt the feelings of all Indians by saying that they were not as "large-hearted" as the Pakistanis?
Afridi responded by first congratulating the Indian Team on winning the finals of the World Cup, 2011. He then went on to say that he has been playing cricket for about 14 to 15 years now and found that such small issues were always blown-up by the media. He said he liked India, liked playing on Indian soil and loved the people of India, so urged all not to give too much importance to such minor things and blow it out of proportion.
When the interviewer stated that he was personally present at the Indo-Pak match venue, and there were Indians offering seats to Pakistanis, holding aloft joint Indo-Pak banners and treating them with so much hospitality, then how could he call all Indians not being large-hearted? Aridi said that he didn't remember exactly what he said before the Pak media.
But he said that his comments were taken out of context by press all over and this has hurt the people of India. According to him, one says one thing and it is interpreted in another manner. When Indians come to Pakistan, we show such large-heartedness towards them. So also Indians must show same large-heartedness to us here, he urged.
On being asked whether he was pressurized to say things like Indians being small-hearted, he said don't take it in a negative light. He said he was a free-spirited person and did not fear anyone. And said what he felt. In fact whenever there is any charitable event or any such occasion they come and participate because they want happy relations with neighbors and share in their joys and sorrows. That is what is taught by our religion too, he added.
Further more according to him in his entire career of 14 plus years, he had enjoyed playing the maximum in India. The love and value for cricketers is the maximum in here. "I really love the people of India, so please don't waste time in making such an issue of such petty matters, he said dismissing the matter.
When the interviewer conceded that some sections of the media might have been critical of the Pakistan team, Afridi sermonized that efforts should be made to bring the two countries together. This matter should not be left to politicians and at all levels efforts should be made to promote good relations, particularly by the sportsmen and Bollywood stars, who he said have such a huge fan-following in Pakistan.
The Pakistan captain Afridi also eulogized Sachin Tendulkar saying "What a cricketer ..... I have no words to describe such a great player." He then went on to say that he had the highest regard for Sachin, as he still played the game with passion and was an inspiration for youngsters, and even beats them hollow in the fitness department. He added that he still had with him, back home a shirt autographed by Tendulkar.

Re: Muslims & pakistani are Large hearted then Indians: Afri

'Shahid Afridi is a coward'

People of India are shocked by Shahid Afridi's statements in the Pakistani media. He has accused India of being a bad host and has said that Indians don't have a large heart. There's a lot of criticism pouring in against the Pakistan cricket captain. Suniel Shetty, who was present during the Mohali encounter, and saw firsthand what Indians did for the people from across the border, is angry too. "Afridi is a coward.

Before making angry comments he should ask his brother what all Indians did for him. His brother was constantly with us bonding and chatting throughout the match in Mohali. We made sure he, his girlfriend, other friends and relatives from pakistan who were in the stadium, didn't feel left out. We looked after them and made them feel at home. I think we were really sensitive to them as well as all the other Pakistanis who came to see the match in Punjab. If Afridi had issues, he should have opened his mouth here. Why say things after going back home? Clearly, he wants to divert attention of his team's loss to India by stoking the tension that the two countries historically have. This is really cheap, given that both the countries and its people want peace. A captain of a national team should be a responsible man."

Anna adds, "Pakistan played awesome cricket through the tournament and Afridi's rant has just taken away all that from our minds. His statements are not true. I saw how people on the streets welcomed Pakistanis and had meals with them. When the Pakistani premier and his janta of reporters wanted to see the match from the stands, we made sure that they got space. We crunched and stood but made sure that they had the best view.

Afridi should ask Shoaib Akhtar about the adulation he got. People, including me, went up to him, hugged him and said that they will miss him because it was his last international match. Afridi should concentrate on his cricket and play a little better next time to get the spotlight. He should do a poll with the people who came to India and ask them about India's hospitality before shooting his mouth off. I have lost respect for him and I am not afraid to say this — maybe in front of entire India."
