The Mumbai Police have asked the Amritsar Police for help in tracing a man who sold fake MBBS and MD certificates to an imposter father-son duo, Brijbhushan Kaul and Varun.
The accused, identified as Dogra, allegedly hails from the city. Kaul and his son used to impersonate as a Navy officer and a paediatrician, respectively, and dupe several jewellery shops in Delhi, Goa, Punjab and Haryana. They were arrested along with Kaul's wife, Meenakshi, two days ago, from a hotel in Mumbai. Police sources said Kaul had bought fake degrees for himself and his son. Amritsar SSP Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh said they would extend all possible help.
