Mohali MC Jt Commissioner shifted

Less than a week after locking horns with her boss, Mohali MC Joint Commissioner Nayan Bhullar was today transferred from the civic body.
Bhullar has been transferred to the Mohali Grievance Cell as Assistant Commissioner. The order in this regard has been issued by the Chief Secretary of Punjab. There were differences between Bhullar and Municipal Commissioner Uma Shankar Gupta for the past some time.
Last Friday, Bhullar was served two back-to-back show-cause notices by Gupta for alleged misconduct and insubordination as the former had failed to respond to a diktat of her boss to see him in his room for some important discussion instantly. After receiving the first show-cause notice, she had left the office immediately, stating that she was not well following which another show-cause notice was served to her by the Municipal Commissioner. The development was reported by a section of the media.
Gupta said today that he had apprised the higher authorities of the development (insubordination). “The transfer of Bhullar is a government decision. I don’t want to comment on it,” said Gupta. Bhullar was not available for comments.
