NEW DELHI: Two more incidents of rape, including that of a minor, have been reported from the capital.

In the first incident, an 11-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her uncle and his son at New Ashok Nagar. The victim lived in the same house as her 50-year-old uncle, a rickshaw puller, and his 24-year-old son. On May 21, when the victim's mother had gone to visit her family in Bihar and her father, also a rickshaw puller, was away at work, her uncle and cousin allegedly raped her. According to police, the child was too afraid to speak out. Two days later, she was again raped by the two. On May 25, when the victim's mother returned from Bihar, the child told her about what had happened. They filed a police complaint, following which the two were arrested. "The medical report confirmed rape and so we arrested the duo," said an officer.

In another case, a 19-year-old woman filed a case of rape when her landlord's brother-in-law refused to marry her after promising to do so. The victim lives with her family in Rajnagar in Dwarka. A month ago, a resident of Lucknow, allegedly got into a physical relationship with her after promising marriage.

"On Saturday, when the victim asked him to marry her, he allegedly told her that he was about to get engaged to someone else and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about their affair," said the police. The victim and her mother later filed a complaint. The police said the 24-year-old accused has fled to Lucknow and will be arrested soon.
