MINIMUM TEMPERATURE RISES IN NORTH PUNJAB

Punjab recorded a steep rise in minimum temperature in its northern region on Monday even as the weather remained relatively pleasant.

Amritsar recorded a low of 11 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature at other air force Stations was recorded at 10.6 degrees C at Halwara, 14.4 degrees C at Pathankot, 11.6 degrees C at Bhatinda, 10.2 degrees C at Ambala, 15.6 degrees C at Jammu and 13.2 degrees C at Udhampur, sources at Met Department of Adampur air force station said.

At Srinagar Air Force Station, minimum temperature was recorded at 0.8 degree Celsius, sources added. The Met department forecast a partly cloudy to cloudy sky and a short spell of rain in the region for the next 24 hours.
