Middle Class Voters

Hi All,

I have one question always in my mind: Why politicians do not work for middle class? Why always somethings for SC/ST or minority community or for big industrial houses?

As far as I think its all our fault. We middle class service guys....earn monthly incomes, pay a big chunk of salary as Income tax, government uses our money but still we can't see government doing something supportive for us. Everytime a new rule favouring minority, low class comes nd they eat our share.

The one reason I can see is that although we constitute 60% of India but when it comes to voting our rights we constitute 10-20% of total voting community. Apart from kerala everywhere the larger chunk of voters is illitreate or less educated and from lower class. So for politicians and political parties vote bank is those guys, so they frame their tactics (so called policies) keeping them in mind. We are no where in picture. Please remember fault is ours.

We enjoy celebrating a holiday instead og going and voting on that day, then we end up cribbing leaders are bad, we don't get gud leaders. hehehe..when we don't choose gud leaders, we waste our chance to choose one least bad out of worsts then we donn need to crib also. We are also not sincere using our voting rites..tehn we are nobody to blame democarcy..(eitehr single party or duble party).

If one educared person comes in politics..he losses as no other educated guy have enuff time to understand nd vote for him.
The young guys of IITs have started a political party in Kerala and karnatka, but I can't see their future..because we guys are so busy in our careers that we won't mind if our country is getting fucked by any crooked politician.

Guys give it athought and put your honest opinion.

we, middle class voters are hardest to please. we verify, koi vee decision lain to pehlan, we think 20 times.
and for them targetting the lower class (econmically though), are easily pleased by hook or crook.

and they never question back when the promises are not fulfilled.

Nice thread.. As PPS bai said it is our fault too.. i agree to it... In many countries like Australia Voting for its citizen is compulsary. U have to vote otherwise u will have to pay a fine or something... Though this cant be implemented in India, but fir bhi it shows how imp voting is...

But mera ik hor point vee hai, that if politician is educated and knowledgeable then he wont promise any freebiees to voters ( like free electricity or tax free smthing or smthing) and as he doesnt have much to offer so people say that he has got nothing to give.. Look at Manmohan Singh, he always speak toughs and his economic measures, when he started were very tough as well...hence educated people dont get posts & positions... But well thats democracy !!!

no..its not like that...even ministers who are educated they tries to lure the low class..the main reason behind that is we don't vote so we are not counted in fortheir vote banks.....till the time we will not get counted no one is going to think for us.

As you said its democarcy so the thing which matters is vote bank so if we all stand united (leaving our own personal targets...). sparing a day for our country's democracy. We can make a change.

As neel said middle class voters have different priorites nd I will say on to that middle class votre think voting is of no help to him, lets work for some extra tiem to achieve bit more or their set targets in life. But we cannot run away from our responsibilities....being citizen of that country we are responsible to take out our time to vote and to give a new life to democarcy.

If we have a right to crib against sysytem and democracy tehn we should fulfill our right to vote also.

YA U SAID IT RIGHT THAT EVEN EDUCATED POLITICIANS DONT TAKE MIDDLE CLASS SERIOUSLY
THE REASON IS VOTES, THE OBC QUOTA IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT UPA GOVT IS SEEING THEIR END AS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FORM GOVT IN ANY OF THE STATES IN WHICH ELECTIONS WERE HELD RECENTLY
ALSO WE R NOT TAKIN POLITICAINS SERIOUSLY HERE R SOME FACTS ABOUT THEM:
1. Monthly Salary : 12,000
2. Expense for Constitution per month : 10,000
3. Office expenditure per month : 14,000
4. Traveling concession (Rs. 8/- per km) : 48,000 (For a visit to Delhi &
return: 6000 km)
5. Daily BETA during parliament meets : 500
6. Charge for 1 class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times)(All over
India)
7. Charge for Business Class in flights : Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or
P.A.)
8. Rent for MP hostel at Delhi : Free
9. Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units
10. Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls.

TOTAL expense for a MP per year : 32,00,000
TOTAL expense for 5 years : 1,60,00,000

For 534 MPs, the expense for 5 years : 8,54,40,00,000 (nearly 855 cores)
And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the largest democratic
process in the world, not intruded into the parliament on their own or by any
qualification.

This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our
regular commodities.......
Think of the great democracy we have.............
FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO ALL CITIZENS OF INDIA.........\
