Manmohan Singh is coming up with a new Punjabi film titled Ik Kudi Punjab Di. The shooting began on 14th January in Amritsar and then moved on to be shot in Chandigarh, Panchkula and the other surrounding areas. Shooting of the film was successfully completed on 25th February 2010.

This is his second inning in Punjabi Cinema as he first made award winning films back in the 80's namely Chan Pardesi - as cinematographer (1980), Laung Da Lishkara - as cinematographer (1986) and Naseebo - as Director (1993). Aptly he is credited to have resurrected Punjabi Cinema from its ashes and bringing it to the status of Bollywood.

Manmohan Singh is also an established name in Bollywood Film industry as a capable cinematographer. His stone touched films include:

TRIVIA: very few people know that manmohan Singh has also given his voice to some songs in Films... two of these songs are "Jogi Uttar pahadon aaaya" for film Chan Pardesi (Punjabi) and "Mere Pyaar ki umaar ho Itni Sanam" for film Waaris (Hindi)​
