Local Police Arrested Sikh Leaders & Organizers Of Sarbat Khalsa

A day after the Sarbat Khalsa announced Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara as the jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the local police on Wednesday arrested sikh leaders and organizers of Sarbat Khalsa S. Simranjit Singh Mann,United Akali Dal head Mohkam Singh and Gurdeep Singh Bathinda.
Simranjit Singh Mann and Mokham Singh were picked at around 4:00am in the morning and taken to the Chheharta Police Station. Sources told that both will now be shifted to a rest house.

After being detained by the local police on Wednesday, SAD (Amritsar) chief and key organiser of the Sarbat Khalsa Simranjit Singh Mann was admitted to the local Guru Nanak Dev Hospital after a check up in the emergency.
Reacting to his detention, S. Mann said, “I was picked from my house at 4:00 am. This is total high headedness of the government.”
On being asked about further course of action, he said that we will further think on this and decide.

ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4 ਵਜੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ੍ਰ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਥਾਣਾ ਛੇਹਰਟਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ । 6 ਘੰਟੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰੈਸਟ ਹਾਊਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰ ਮਾਨ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸਨ) ਗਿਆ । ਟੈਸਟ ਠੀਕ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ।





ਭਾਈ ਮੋਹਕਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ । ਭਾਈ ਸਾਿਹਬ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4 ਵਜੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ । ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ।

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann who was taken into police custody on Wednesday morning said that the SGPC elections should take place as soon as possible and a new Committee formed to correctly handle Sikh affairs as the current leadership has lost the trust of the Sikh masses. Simranjit Singh Mann said SGPC and Assemly elections should take place immediately as the current Govt has lost the will of the people. Simranjit Singh Mann said that his arrest was conducted on the orders of Sukhbir Badal and CM Parkash Singh Badal, as even the highest ranked police officials have stated they have received orders from above and are only carrying them out.
