LG quietly unveiled its latest Windows 8.1-based tablet hybrid in the market, the Tab Book Duo, priced at KRW 740,000 (roughly Rs. 42,400) in its home turf South Korea. The device's availability in other regions is not yet known. The handset maker is also bundling a free Microsoft wireless mouse for those customers who buy the tablet before December 22.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant touts its workstation to be as light as 530 grams, reaching 792 grams when weighed along with the bundled Bluetooth keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard for LG Tab Book Duo has a one-push setup. The keyboard is also said to support other devices as well. The LG Tab Book Duo also features a kickstand to stay in upright position.

All specification details are not known for the LG Tab Book Duo however, what the firm has mentioned is that the device features a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display, is powered by a quad-core Intel processor, and runs on Windows 8.1 OS. The tablet also sports a USB 3.0 port alongside a HDMI port. While the battery capacity is not yet known, LG has stated the Tab Book Duo's battery is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of life on full charge.

The firm in August announced the global rollout of the LTE version of the LG Pad 8.0. The Wi-Fi version of the tablet was first introduced along with the LG G Pad 10.1 and G Pad 7.0 tablets in May. The LG G Pad 8.0 LTE tablet features similar specifications as seen in its Wi-Fi variant, except that it has the 4G LTE connectivity option in addition.
