Extending its smartphone portfolio, Lava introduced its much-awaited Iris Pro series by launching the first smartphone - Iris Pro 30 - under the series.
Priced at Rs 15,999, the Lava Iris Pro 30 has a 4.7-inch IPS display (312 ppi) with a screen resolution of 1280X720 pixels. The display is OGS (one-glass solution) and it keep the Lava Iris Pro 7.5 mm slim. The phone weighs 114g.
Lava Iris Pro 30 is claimed to be the lightest phone available in India in 4.7-inch or more screen-size category. Lava says the display used in the phone is from Japanese LCD manufacturer Sharp. The phone has Gorilla Glass protection.
Running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Lava Iris Pro 30 has an 8 megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED flash and a 3 megapixel front camera. The phone supports 1080p video recording and playback.
Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and SGX 544 GPU, the phone is packed with a 2000mAh battery.
The Lava Iris Pro 30 is OTG-enabled that allows the phone to directly read data from pen drives and receive inputs from keyboard or mouse.
The phone will be available in India beginning the third week of January
