Most kids will be having a winter break next week. That means for us parents we have to keep them busy, especially those of us in the colder climates where spending time outside doesn't last as long as it used to.
This month PCMag.com has released a Kids Pack utility that contains two utilities; one very useful and one a whole lot of fun. The PCMag.com Kid Friendly Browser allows your young children to browse the web but only to sites that you've pre-selected. Your kids can visit a site by simply clicking a thumbnail of the site. They don't need to type a URL and you don't have to worry about them going to some other site by accident.
The Kid Friendly Browser features:
• Browsing to sites only selected by you
• Large graphical links to sites for easy access
• Homepage customization using your own images or one of the included ones
• Kid Mode which prevents your child from using anything but the web browser
• Kid Mode can be password protected to prevent your child from clicking something he shouldn't
• The ability to limit the amount of time browsing the Web

The PCMag.com Coloring Book is a whole lot of fun for your younger children. It comes with over 1200 images to color and easy to use coloring tools like a paint bucket, crayon, and stamp.
The Coloring Book features:
• 15 different themed books containing a total of over 1200 images
• Bucket, Crayon and Stamp tools
• The ability to flip through the pages of coloring books without losing the drawings you've done
• The option to play notes of children's songs with each mouse click
• The ability to print colored pages or uncolored pages in order to color with real crayons
• The option to make your own books and add your own images
