Akshay Kumar's return as the host of Khatron Ke Khiladi has worked wonders. The opening episode of the fourth season of the show has garnered the highest ratings of all its seasons.
The show generated a Television Rating Point (TRP) of 3.7, according to data provided by rating agency Audience Measurement and Analytics Ltd (aMap).
The show, an Indianised version of action-adventure show Fear Factor, launched on June 3.
"With the return of Khiladi Akshay Kumar, season four got the highest of the ratings compared to the previous three seasons,"said Jiniti Shah, vice president of aMap.
The fourth season was shot in Cape Town, and features female contestants from showbiz and sports, each paired with a male participant.
