Apple today announced during their media conference at their Cupertino campus that the iPhone 4 will launch in the second wave of countries on July 30.

Initially Apple said the iPhone 4 would reach 17 more countries by the end of July - and today Apple CEO Steve Jobs confirmed they will meet expectations, sneaking through and just managing to make it available by the end of the month.

The second wave of rollouts will see the iPhone 4 hit countries internationally including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

It's unclear at this stage whether users will be able to pre-order the iPhone 4, but it's likely online pre-orders will occur, with Apple yet to comment on pricing for each respective country. There was also no mention if the iPhone 4 will come with a free case or updated hardware, after they announced free cases for all iPhone 4 users earlier today.

Demand for the iPhone 4 has been high, with Apple selling more than 3 million units in the first three weeks of availability in the US, France, Germany, Japan and the UK. Apple plans to have the iPhone 4 available in more than 80 countries worldwide by the end of September, with the final wave of countries to receive the device by that stage.[/img]
