India batsman Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the remaining three One-dayers and one-off Twenty20 against England after sustaining a fracture on the middle finger of his right hand.
The opening batsman, who scored a gutsy 52 in the second ODI, will be replaced by Murali Vijay in the squad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said.
Vijay, who will join the squad in England at the earliest, was the teams' highest run-getter in the five-match Test series, which India lost 3-1.
The Tamil Nadu batsman scored a ton and two half-centuries in the 10 innings he opened for the visitors.
